Rose Creek's Clubhouse Runs on a Different Clock Now

The fitness doors at 17031 North May Avenue open at 5 a.m. and close at 10 p.m. That is a 17-hour day at a place most of Edmond still calls a golf course. Between those hours there is a coffee bar with a coworking lounge, two pools, a rooftop bar that looks over the fairways, and a putting course. On the calendar for the second half of October there are 13 events, from Whiskey Club on the 13th to an adult Halloween party on the 30th. None of them is a tournament, a scramble, or a clinic for golfers.

Rose Creek Country Club got this way in stages. Each stage added a new time of day the club could fill, and the last one, The Retreat, is what made the schedule full from morning to night.

Four years, one time slot at a time

The rebuild started with a change of ownership. In early 2022, Innovative Club Management and a group of mostly Oklahoma-based investors bought Rose Creek from Houston-based Tour 18, Golf Oklahoma reported. Alex Hammill, who founded ICM, was the public face of the deal. The first plan called for more than $3 million in work on the course, clubhouse, and facilities. By December 2022, Edmond Business ran a headline putting the renovation investment at $6 million. The two figures were reported at different points in 2022, and neither source ties either amount to any single building.

Here is how the pieces arrived, in order:

  1. Early 2022: the course comes first. The early work went into the Arthur Hills–designed layout: new bunker liners and sand, collar sod, and fresh sod where freeze had damaged the turf. Later rounds added cart-path and irrigation work.
  2. Late 2022: courts and a late-night room. Edmond Business reported five pickleball courts, four of them enclosed, with the enclosure expected to open late that year. Caché, a members-only speakeasy with live jazz and blues, opened the second week of November 2022.
  3. 2023: a dining room open to the public. Neighborhood Provisions opened under Chef Jim Camp with a scratch-made, farm-to-table menu that changes with the seasons, Edmond Outlook wrote in July 2023. Camp was hired as executive chef in early 2022, around the time he won the Oklahoma City Hangover Brunch Food Festival for the second time.
  4. August 2023: phase two announced. Club & Resort Business reported The Retreat as the second phase of the amenity investment. Plans included family and adults-only pools, a swim-up bar, 18-hole mini-golf, a fitness center, and saunas, with an unveiling scheduled for 2024.
  5. Spring 2026: fully open. Edmond Outlook's April 2026 issue described The Retreat as fully open and running as a central part of the club.

Follow the list down and the hours spread out. The course and courts cover daylight. Caché covers late evenings. Neighborhood Provisions covers lunch and dinner. The Retreat filled in early morning, midday, and everything else.

What The Retreat changed about the hours

The club's own page now marks The Retreat "OFFICIALLY OPEN." It lists a fitness center with spaces for yoga, spin, and group classes; an adults-only pool with a swim-up bar; a family pool with a splash pad; hot and cold plunge tubs; saunas; and massage and skincare services. The 2023 plan called for 18 holes of mini-golf. The finished version is a 19-hole putting course.

Some of the list has nothing to do with leisure. Maple & Honey Coffee Co. runs a coworking lounge inside the building, and the club also offers dry cleaning and car detailing. Workspace, a coffee counter, and errands are what bring a building into the middle of a weekday.

Hammill described the shift himself in the April 2026 Edmond Outlook feature. "It has completely changed how members use the club on a daily basis," he told the magazine. He said the design drew on "high-end resorts, boutique fitness concepts, and chef-driven restaurants," and that "the goal was to rethink what a country club could be." The same feature calls the club "a modern, lifestyle-driven club, offering work, workout, dining, and socializing options all day."

October's calendar has no tee times on it

The club's posted calendar for October 13 through 30 shows what an all-day club does with its evenings.

Date Event Start time
Oct 13 Whiskey Club 6:00 p.m.
Oct 14 SINGO 6:00 p.m.
Oct 18 Intro to Pickleball 4:00 p.m.
Oct 21 Pints & Points Trivia 6:00 p.m.
Oct 22 Whiskey & Cigars Under The Stars 6:00 p.m.
Oct 23 Business Over Cocktails 6:00 p.m.
Oct 23 Kids' Craft Night: Painting Pumpkins 6:00 p.m.
Oct 24 Family Fall Festival 11:00 a.m.
Oct 27 Witches Night 6:00 p.m.
Oct 28 Dress-up, Dink & Drink 6:00 p.m.
Oct 29 Rooftop SINGO Listed as 12:00 a.m.
Oct 29 New Member Mixer 6:00 p.m.
Oct 30 Spirits After Dark: Adult Halloween Party 8:00 p.m.

Of the 13 events, 10 start at 6 p.m. or later, the time golf usually winds down. The only sports on the list are pickleball: the introductory session on the 18th and "Dress-up, Dink & Drink" on the 28th, which takes its name from a pickleball shot. Those events grow out of the courts that went in late in 2022. Rooftop SINGO uses the terrace that came with The Retreat. October 23 shows how wide the audience has become. A business networking hour and a kids' pumpkin-painting night start at the same time on the same evening.

The mix also tracks the build order. Whiskey Club and Whiskey & Cigars Under The Stars fit the after-dark crowd Caché was built for. The Family Fall Festival on Saturday the 24th at 11 a.m. is the one daytime family event. It's the sort of program a family pool and splash pad helped make possible. Most events carry an RSVP link on the club's homepage, and the Oct 14 SINGO already has a separate waitlist listing.

Which doors open without a membership

Two parts of the club are open to non-members. Neighborhood Provisions is open to the public, and so is Maple & Honey Coffee Co. inside The Retreat. Edmond Outlook says guests can stop in for coffee, sit in the lounge, and use the coworking space. That gives a Rose Creek household that hasn't joined a weekday coffee stop and a dinner option inside the club.

The rest is members-only. The Retreat's pools, fitness floor, plunges, and rooftop bar are listed as member amenities. Caché is a members-only speakeasy and steakhouse. In 2026 Hammill told Edmond Outlook that every cut there is prime or wagyu, that the bar carries more than 700 spirits and a wine list with a Wine Spectator award, that live music plays on weekends, and that members get 15% off. The same feature notes membership options for both residents and non-residents of Rose Creek. So a home inside the gate doesn't come with access by default, and an address outside it doesn't rule a membership out.

Here is how the public and member spaces split:

  • Open to the public: Neighborhood Provisions; Maple & Honey Coffee Co. and its coworking lounge
  • Members: The Retreat's fitness center, pools, plunge tubs, saunas, putting course, and rooftop terrace and bar; Caché
  • Services listed at The Retreat: massage, skincare, dry cleaning, car detailing

What stays put, and what to check first

The Arthur Hills layout got its bunker and turf work in the first round of renovations. The club's homepage still advertises pickleball leagues and events next to its golf program.

Club calendars change, and the October lineup above comes from the club's live site, not a printed schedule. Check RSVP status and start times on Rose Creek Country Club's site before planning around a date. The Rooftop SINGO on the 29th is listed at 12:00 a.m., so confirm that time with the club.

The club's rebuild is one of the bigger changes to the amenities around Rose Creek homes since 2022. If you'd like to understand how that affects what your home is worth, David Oliver and our team can walk you through it over coffee at Maple & Honey.
